During this workshop we will work extensively with our Yoga Wall System. It allows to attach ropes in many different ways. Ropes are another prop that Mr. Iyengar developed to assist us in achieving poses that might not quite be within our reach yet. Ropes also allow us to feel how certain movements or extension should feel before we can feel the same effect without ropes. Hence, they are a great tool.
We can savor the joy of this tool and the advantage of using the ropes for more effective stretches and opening the physical body. Working with ropes is referred to as Yoga Kurunta – a Kurunta is a puppet in South India.
