If you suffer from knee discomfort, this course is for you. It is also a great opportunity for anyone with past or current knee injury or aggravation.
The knee is one of the most complex joints in the body. It is highly flexible and yet bears the weight of the body. The work of the knee also benefits the whole body. As the knees are brought into structural alignment, the feet, ankles, shins, thighs, hips and sacrum will also benefit .
The biggest problem in the knee is rooted in structural imbalance. We will cover the anatomical structure of the knee and learn ways to manage and to alleviate knee pain.
Initially, we will work on standing yoga posture movements and stretches.
There will be also a focus on the hips, as without stability and flexibility in the hips, the knees will compensate and bear the strain.
The course will run over 5 weeks. We will start on 10 February and meet once a week. (Dates and times to be confirmed.)
